South African Sim Racers (SASR) exists to unite South African sim racers through fair, respectful, and enjoyable competition. Our goal is to create a positive community built on sportsmanship, respect, and clean racing across all platforms and sim titles.
GENERAL INFORMATION
SASR community events are open exclusively to South African citizens. All participants must register once at www.southafricansimracers.co.za and provide a valid South African ID, passport, or driver’s license for verification. SASR does not store identification documents; they are permanently deleted once verification is complete.
All events are open to verified South Africans who own the required cars and tracks for each specific simulator. SASR promotes mutual respect and zero tolerance for discrimination, toxicity, or abusive behavior.
EVENT FORMAT
Event details such as simulator, car, track, and session times are shared in the official Discord channels. Drivers must confirm their participation before each race.
A short pre-race briefing will be held in Discord to explain start procedures, race format, and track limits. Each event generally includes practice, qualifying, and race sessions, though the structure may vary depending on the platform or event type.
INCIDENT REPORTING AND PENALTIES
SASR operates as a community-first environment. Rather than formal protest systems, we hold open post-race debriefs in Discord to discuss incidents constructively as a group. This approach encourages fairness, accountability, and learning.
Repeated reckless driving, intentional contact, or poor sportsmanship may lead to disciplinary action or exclusion from future events, but open communication is always encouraged before penalties are considered.
SCORING AND RESULTS
SASR community events are standalone races with no official points system or season rankings. The focus is on clean, competitive racing and building friendships.
If a multi-event championship is announced in the future, all scoring and format details will be clearly communicated before the first round.
DRIVING STANDARDS
Clean racing is fundamental to SASR. Drivers must maintain control, race with awareness, and respect competitors at all times.
Maintain full control of your vehicle.
Defend fairly; only one defensive move is allowed.
Always leave racing room when side-by-side.
Rejoin the track safely after going off.
Respect blue flags and do not block faster cars.
Keep within track limits as defined by each simulator.
If in doubt, lift off and prioritise safety.
CONDUCT AND BEHAVIOUR
Keep in-game chat clear and minimal during races. Use Discord voice channels responsibly and avoid unnecessary chatter during active sessions.
Use the correct Discord channels for event discussions and respect the instructions of moderators and administrators.
Repeated disruptive, disrespectful, or unsportsmanlike behavior may lead to suspension or removal from events.
ADMIN AND STEWARD AUTHORITY
SASR administrators have final authority over all participation, rule interpretation, and conduct matters. Intentional wrecking, cheating, or harassment will result in immediate removal.
Rules and event formats may be adjusted based on feedback and community needs.
OUR GOAL
SASR is built on passion, integrity, and community. We aim to grow sim racing in South Africa through clean, respectful competition and teamwork.
We race hard, respect harder, and welcome everyone who shares that vision. Stay after events, join discussions, and help us keep SASR a proudly South African racing community.
